Ecology and Evolution at VU Amsterdam is home to an international, inclusive, and collaborative group of researchers. Our goal is to make innovative contributions to the fundamental field of Ecology and Evolution worldwide and bring new insights to issues of societal relevance, such as nature conservation, climate change, soil pollution, forest management and sustainable agriculture.
Our group has complementary expertise from molecular evolution to ecosystem ecology.
We answer fundamental questions in Ecology and Evolution using cutting edge experimental, modelling and field approaches in a variety of study systems.
